Bosh Gone, Wade Gone, Melo Next?

I don’t think Carmelo Anthony is quite done just yet. He still has a lot to offer to the NBA. I mean he is still one of the greatest scorers of all time. Now, I won’t be naive and say that the game hasn’t left Anthony in the past. I’m well aware of that. However, just because he isn’t the same superstar that he’s always been doesn’t mean that he can’t still help complete a championship roster. LeBron James has recently expressed interest in tracking Anthony down and bringing him to LA and I don’t think that’s the worst idea.

Anthony needs to be able to fit into a veterans leadership role and be able to provide clutch minutes down the playoff stretch. He can’t be placed in a role where he is the third part to a Big 3 scheme because he simply is not that great anymore. He’s gained weight, doesn’t play very good perimeter defense, and takes more shots than he probably should. However, with a lessened role and and more structure to the offense, he can produce and bring a well needed veterans presence to a roster.

I believe he would fit well with LA or Philly and still get a chance to compete.
